for the boys

Now it's time for some boys cards. Just been having a lil with some of my new Copics, Basic Grey "periphery" papers and SU punch.

I had a new toy delivered yesterday. A new sewing machine...woooo hooooo!! Yippee!!, there is only one problem, I can't sew for toffee...and it's a computerised one......heaven help me, pmsl. I've spent a few hours this morning watching the DVD and trying to understand the instructions, I have now managed to thread the cotton and sew a couple of decorative stitches on fabric and PAPER....ooo errrr get me.....I'm almost a pro now.....lol!! It's a cracking lil machine which I got from e-bay, the model is a Brother ES202o. I only ordered it the evening before last and it arrived 7.40 yesterday morning, COR!! how's that for speedy delivery. So watch this space, as my next cards could feature some machine sewing. girly cards

Hey two posts in one day, well I've been having a lil bit of "me" time today. You would not believe the horrendous week I've had and to top everything, yesterday I was driving into Cardiff for a hospital appointment, when my car broke down at a set of traffic lights on a very busy street....aarrgghhh. I managed to get the car to a safe place, and walked the rest of the way to the hospital, luckily enough a garage was close by, they towed my car there and that's where it still is today. A part of the drive shaft connecting to the gear box has broke, hopefully I'll bet my car back tomorrow after paying the best part of £500 to fix it.

Anyway sorry for the whinging, I feel that's all I've done this week. I've just made these cards, just because I felt like having a lil play, plus the florist has asked me to make lots of cards for different occassions all I need is the hours to make them. Take care all xx vicki xx

I've received these two fab awards from the lovely Natalie. Huge thanks Natalie for thinking of me to pass them onto.

Today is also Natalie's birthday and above is the card I sent to her. I've used my lovely Stampin Up papers, Round Tab Punch and Stamps, The main image has been coloured with watercolour pencils. Sorry for this being a short post, but my 16 year old son, Tom, is giving me hassle at the mo and not going to college, he's being a complete nightmare, so I'm just about to whisk him off to see the careers advisor, hopefully he'll be able to talk some sense into him....or is that just wishful thinking......

For two special friends

Well I just have to say that since I started crafting, which is almost two years ago, I've met such truly wonderful people and evenmore since I started Blogging. Two girlies in particular have been so kind and generous to me lately, sending me some lovely crafting goodies, I feel priviledge to call them my friends, so these two lil cards I sent them by way of saying thank you. Those two girlies are Jilli and Jill...oxoxoxoxoxox

Firstly this is the card I sent to Jilli as she sent me some beautiful embellies just before Christmas, which was a complete surprise, huge thanks Jillli I loved them. The papers are Basic Grey "motifica" and the heart pin is Fancy Pants. This next card I sent to Jill, who recentely sent me a bundle of stamped images, loads of ribbons and flowers....wow!! was I spoilt. Humungous thanks Jill....oxoxoxoxox.

For Jill's card I used DCWV paper, the image which Jill sent me has been coloured with Distress Inks and Cosmic Shimmer water colour paints, again the pin is Fancy Pants and the heart shape is one of my new Nesties.

This card I've made for an order from one of hubby's work mates. I love this orange/pink colour comb at the mo. The papers were from a kit I bought a while back from QVC, I think I better get some more as I've nearly used them all. The Rubber Romance image has been paper pieced. I've also used two of my new Nestabilities dies, scalloped hearts and labels #1. The lil charms are from WHAT!

Yay!!! I've finally had chance to make a few cards for orders and my daughter friends birthdays. The card above is for an order via the florist who kindly sells most of my cards. I've made a few similar to this one.

This card is for Yasmin's friend Lewis, who's birthday party is Sunday. At last my new nesties arrived after placing my order November 20, last year.

I made the card below for Georgia's friend Tyler, who's birthday is next weekend. The papers are DCWV. It did originally have the number 10 on and her name but when I showed the card to Georgia, to get her approval, she said " hhmmmmm, it's nice and pretty, but Tyler doesn't do nice and pretty, she's more of a rock chick, I'd better go and see which stamp and papers I'd want, then you can make another card, ok Mum!"......well I was weak, so off she went to my lil craft room.......

.......and this is what she choose, very different to the one I originally made hey...pmsl.

Must admit, this is more Tyler. These fabby papers are by Rusty Pickle and of course the image is by the ever so talented Kerryjo.

Happy Birthday Jools

This is the card I sent to Jools, her birthday was earlier this week. I hope you had a fab day Jools.


I've used Basic Grey 'mellow' papers, Prima flowers, some of the spacers are from my stash but also Jilli very kindly sent me some lovely spacers just before Christmas, thank you Jilli that was a lovely surprise. Stampin Up round tab punch which has been stamped with Stampin Up 'Totally Tabs' stamp set, ribbon from my stash, the pin is Fancy Pants and the Whiff of Joy image has been coloured with watercolour pencils and Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints. Jools should have received her parcel from me by now, fingers crossed.

Well it's the weekend already, hasn't this week flown by. We've not got much planned for this weekend, just gonna chill out and relax.....mmmmm that sounds good to me...lol!!! Whatever your all up to, I hope it's a good one.

just the odd christmas card to show...

I just thought I would show some of the Christmas cards I made for my hubby and children, as I didn't get chance before Christmas. I did manage to make all our relatives, neighbours and close friends cards, well only just......lol!!! me being so disorganized, was still making cards on Christmas Eve....ah well.

Sorry to have bored you all, I don't think I'll show the others that I made as these took long enough to upload and I'm sure you've all had enough of Christmas cards by now.....lol!!!

Helllllloooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry for being such a bad blogger lately but hubby had two weeks off for Christmas and we've all had such a fabby family holiday season, it's been great. Stephen went back to London a few hours ago and the Chrismas trimmings have all come down and been packed away......isn't it a sad feeling, plus the house looks very bare.

I'd also like to thank all my blogging buddies and all who visit my lil oasis, for all the lovely comments and support in 2008, also huge thanks to Jilli and Denise for passing this brill award on to me, right back at ya girlies.
