Gosh two posts in one day, not very often that happens, all I have to do now is get better organised at blog hopping and visiting all your wonderful blogs....lol!!

Isn't this Tilda so adorable.....ahhhhhh....I've coloured her with Distress Inks, my poor Copics are well and truly on the back burner at the mo. the papers are from my scrap box, mainly SU, Autumn Leaves "ticketed" sentiment tags, some tulle, lace, Prima flowers and a lil feather to finish off with.

The very lovely Tara sent me a fabby RAK, these papers were amongst the goodies she sent me, huge thanks againly luvly. Tilda has again been coloured with Distress Inks, some more Tulle, sentiment is from THAT Brenda Pinnick scrapbook kit, a few pearly gems to finish.

Thank you all for visiting my lil oasis and for taking the time to leave such lovely comments too, I really do appreciate them.

SFTW - Challenge #3

It's Friday whoooo hooo!! and you know what that means another new challenge begins over at Stampin for the Weekends challenge blog.

This week we have a wonderful prize very kindly donated by Simon Says Stamp, $25 gift voucher......wow!!! how fab is that.

Also, many thanks to Sandie for being our Guest Designer again this week.

So for this weeks challenge, which is entitled

"Rock 'n' Roll 60's".

We would like you to base your card around one of these song titles:-

1. Whiter Shade of Pale
2. Time of the Season
3. Please Mr Postman

I decided to go for White Shade of Pale......

...mind you it doesn't look this dark in real life though...lol!!! For my card I have used a pale pearlescent grey cardstock and cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. The image and sentiment, which is SU "Baroque Motifs" firstly I stamped the scroll image with versamark then added silver embossing powder and heat embossed, added quite a few lil gems, plus the sparkly heart and ribbon.

There are so many options with our challenge this week, my lovely fellow DT buddies have come up trumps again, with so many wonderful creations, just take a lil peek for yourselves. Thank you for visiting my lil oasis and hopefully you will be able to join us this week with our challenge over at SFTW.

Stampin for the Weekend - challenge #2

OMG!!!!! what a tremendous first week we had and thank you to all who entered our first challenge over at SFTW, we also received some lovely comments and e-mails of encouragement and good wishes, which we are all so very grateful for.

So now onto this weeks challenge which is entitled

"Going Digital"

For challenge #2 we would like for you to create a card or project of your choice using a digi download image. Our sponsor for this week is the very talented Dustin Pike who has kindly donated a fabulous prize, just pop over to SFTW to find out more. You can either click on his name above or the picture below to take you to Dustin's blog
We are also very pleased to welcome Sandie, who is going to be our Guest Designer for the next two weeks, Sandie creates such beautiful cards, why not pop over to her blog and see for yourself.

So here are the cards I have made for this weeks challenge. I used the "Grads" download from Dustin Pike's blog, which just so happens to be a freebie, how kind is this guy, there are also many more freebie downloads available. As the both freebie images were downloaded together I thought I would go with that and make two cards. Both images have been coloured with Copic markers, around the images I have used Brilliance ink pads in Pearlescent Blue and Silver with a sponging technique. Both cards have HOTP papers from a kit I bought yonks ago from QVC. The sentiments are a mix of Cuddly Buddly and SU, with some gems, ribbons and punches as embellies.

Well done and congratulations to the rest of the fabby DT at SFTW for creating some delish designs this week. After such an overwhelming response to our first week, I do hope you will be able to join in with this weeks challenge. Looking forward to seeing your creations.
Have a fab weekend all.

a couple of Tildas

I've been really good and used up some more of my odd bits of scrap papers to make these two cards.

The papers on the above card are mainly K & Co, which I've distressed using my papermania distressing ruler, then inked the edges, I've also inked the doily. Tilda is coloured with a mix of distress inks and Copics, the sentiments are Autumn Leaves "ticketed", Prima flower also used my SU spiral punch
This is one of my newest additions to my ever increasing Tilda stamps, I love her lil outfit. Again I have used a mix of K & Co scrap papers, the ribbon is American Crafts, SU sentiment. I've coloured Tilda with Karisma watersoluble pencils, sansador and paper stumps then added some stickles glitter glue to her wings.

Hope your all having a lovely weekend, despite this dreadful weather.

I've coloured this gorgeous Magnolia image with my Stampin Up ink pads and added some pink Sakura stardust pen to the winges and antenna's, a few lil gems for extra sparkle, SU round tab punch and the sentiment is by Autumn Leaves "ticketed"

Miss Anya - Rain, Snow & Shine

Well forget about the rain and snow cos it certainly has been shining and a scorching weekend. I hope you've all taken full advantage of this weather and had a fab weekend. I've spent most of it in the garden, digging, weeding and planting. My daughters went to the beach today with their grandparents, so I was able to carry on and get loads done. Hubby didn't come home this weekend (he works in London throughout the week), it was his friends stag night or should I say stag weekend so he stayed to join in the celebrations, eventhough yesterday was our 11th wedding anniversary, some of you may remember our 10th anniversary when I went to London to watch Mama Mia, gosh how quick has this year gone by already....phew!!!!

Anyway back to the cards, my lovely new Miss Anya's arrived last weekend, I ordered them direct from the Greeting Farm and they only took a week to arrive, fab service me thinks....lol!! I did order the original Miss Anya's from there too.

I've used DCWV pp, Miss Anya has been coloured with Distress Inks, ribbon from a local haberdashery store, flowers and brads from my stash and the sentiment is Autumn Leaves "ticketed"
Miss Anya here has again been coloured with Distress Inks and had a touch of Glamour Dust added here and there. I've used some scrap bits of papers together with some vellum, square brads and Prima Flowers.

Today is my lovely fellow Stampin for the Weekend DT member Nicola's birthday and this is the card I sent her, she lives in Spain so I'm not too certain if it has arrived yet. I've coloured Miss Anya with Copics, pp are Basic Grey, Cuddly Buddly circle sentiment, cuddlebug embossing folder and Prima Flowers.

Oh well the half term is over, didn't that just fly by, kiddies back to school tomorrow YAY!!! that just leaves me with a huge pile of ironing (oopppppsss, sorry for that lil nasty word there...lol!!!) to plough through tomorrow....ooooohhhh I can't wait....not. Then I'm back to work on Tuesday..booo hooo!!!
Thanks for popping by my lil oasis and many thanks again for all the lovely comments your kind enough to leave...mwah....

Huggable Hank

awwwww...I just love this lil guy...look at his expression isn't he just so adorable.....lol!!!

I was a bit of a pain to Tracy at Dies To Die For, cos I kept on asking when was he due in stock, so apologies Tracy but I just couldn't wait to get me lil mitts on him...lol!!! Thank you also for the fabulous service you offer too.

Well as the title suggests, this is Huggable Hank and he's by High Hopes. I've coloured him with a mix of allsorts of mediums, from Copics, Derwent watercolour pencils, Karisma shading pencils and Karisma water colour pencils with Sansador, I dunno, I just can't get along with the Sansador way at all, the colour just doesn't seem to "move" around the image for my liking, i'm awaiting the arrival of some Koh I Noor pencils so I'll try them with Sansador next and see if I get on any better. Papers are SU. Here he is again, slightly paler in colour this time but still used the same mediums to colour him. Basic Grey Archaic papers, some dewdrops and I'm not sure the name of the sentiment tag sorry.

I also ordered High Hopes "Warm Wishes" (another adorable dragon blowing out the candles on his birthday cake), from Tracy too, I've made a few cards with that image and what a doughnut I am as I forgot to take piccies and have given the cards out...doh!!!!
My MIL is taking my daughters out for the day so I am hoping to sort out my craft room.....boy oh boy is it in one heck of a mess, this time I really am too ashamed to take any pics, trouble is I keep buying crafting goodies and I've run out of spaces to put everything, so all my new stash is still on the floor....pmsl
Whatever your up to today I hope you all enjoy yourselves. luv 'n' hugs

Fairy Tink & Fairy Chloe

aawwww aren't these lil fairies just the cutest images. I ordered them a few weeks ago from Tracy at Dies to Die For and haven't really had much chance to play with them until this week.
I've used my Copics to colour the image, the check pp was very kindly given to me as part of a gorgeous RAK from Tara, many thanks again, the ribbon is American Crafts .

Again coloured with Copics the papers are a mix of allsorts from SU, DCWV and MME, liquid pearls. SU sentiment. SU Boho Blossoms and Five Petal Flower punch, EK Success Retro Flower Punch.

On Monday it was Michelle's birthday and this is the card I sent her, unfortunately I was a lil late in sending it as she received it the day after her birthday, apologies Michelle. BG paper, dew drops from The Glitter Pot, SU sentiment.
I've made a few cards this week, shall pop them on my blog over the next couple of days. I hope your all enjoying the kiddies being off school, such a shame the weather is so bad, well it is here in South Wales, keeping my fingers crossed that the sun will come back out soon....
Thanks for visiting my lil oasis and for all the lovely comments you take the time to leave, I appreciate each and every one, thank you

Happy 10th Birthday Georgia~May

...aaawwwwww...my lil girl is 10 today, she's growing up way too quick and it's making me feel old...boo hoo...lol!!!!

So here's a couple of cards that I've made for her. This one is from myself and hubby. I bought these foam stamps from QVC quite a while ago and this is the first time I've used them. I love these papers by MME "Magnolia" range, even got my sewing machine out for this one too This card is from Georgia's sister Yasmin, thought the image was very apt for those two, again it's from the same set as above from QVC I found this image very daunting to colour due to the intricate detail, not done the best job but it's ok for Georgia. The papers are also from the Magnolia range of MME. The swirly background to the image are stamps from Anna Griffin,
This card was giving to Georgia from my lovely "Taffy" friend Clare, thank you so very much again Clare, Georgia loves it.

Well I'd better get a wriggle on, got a house full of girls waiting for me to make them pancakes before we go swimming....oh I don;t like swimming and dreading it, but I'm sure once I get there we will have loads of fun.
Enjoy the Bank Holiday

a BIG wedding card...

Oh this card has given me nightmare's and I've dreaded making it simply because of the size of it. A work collegue of my hubby's aksed me back in March if I could make a wedding card from himself and his bride tobe on display at their wedding reception for all their guests to sign, we're invited to the wedding so I guess I'll be signing it too, that'll be strange....lol!! I did offer to make a proper wedding guest book but they preferred to have a card with a nice verse from themselves. Anyways they wanted a BIG card...oh eck I thought. So I've taken two A3 sheets of hammered white cardstock, scored and folded in half, then stuck them together so in effect I had four A4 sides to decorate......now do you see why I had nightmares.....lol!!!! You wouldn't believe the amount of papers I bought to decorate this card. They wanted a particular shade of green, so I bought tons of patterned green papers, spent a small fortune only to realise that I already had these papers amongst my stash....typical....lol!!!
The inside of the card needed to be quite plain in order for the guests to sign

A few Prima flowers, some spacers and charms for decoration.

Another close up of the box

Phew....am I glad this one is finished. I only hope they will like it, especially as we will be there on their big day...I'll be in trouble other wise....lol!!! The wedding is taking place in London so another lovely weekend for me away from the kids...yay!!!!

DT makes for Tinker & Co - Marshmallow Kit

I've been having a lil play with this gorgeous new kit that Jo very kindly sent me. You really should check it out, the papers are gorgeous and as for the lil teddy bear Marshmallow, isn't she just a lil cutie. This is a new kit that Jo has designed and will be available to download very soon at Tinker & Co.

If you pop over to Jo's blog, she has a pole going on at the mo, it would be great if you could take part in. Also Tinker & Co have a sale on until the 20th May, so why not bag a bargain while the going's good.

Thought I would try something a bit different and went with a baby theme. In the above picture are baby arrival cards together with the baby's name bunting. I've printed some of these papers in draft to give a contrast.

As it's Georgia's birthday on Sunday, I had her and her sister Yasmin help me make some pin wheels and party bags ready for her birthday. The templates to make these were part of an Anna Griffin kit that I bought from QVC, it really has proved invaluable lately.
Thanks for popping by my lil oasis and for all the lovely comments.
Take care all, luv'n' hugs

The papers were downloaded from Shabby Princess (Moody Blues collection), The Rubber Romance image has been coloured with Copics and shopping bags paper pieced with the same Moody Blues papers, Prima flowers, gems and ribbon from my stash, sentiments we printed in Word.
Whatever your all up to this weekend, I hope you have a good one.
