40th birthday card and box

Hiya my luvly blogging buddies, I hope your all keeping well.  Gosh I can't believe it's been a week since I last posted anything to my blog, mind you I've hardly had chance to do any crafting or blogging for that matter lately, life is taking over and time to myself these days is a luxury.....boo hooo

I was asked to make a 40th birthday card for the wife a work collegue of my hubbies.  I've so many 40th birthdays coming up over the next couple of weeks, well loads of birthdays in general at the moment.  Stephen will be 40 really soon and that's getting me all stressed out cos I'm trying to organise things and they're not happening as planned......I'm in denial that he is 40, he's coping fine but me...well the shock and disbelief is beyond, where did all those years go to, heaven help me next year when I'm 40...oh god I'm dreading it.......pmsl.

Well anyway back to the card.  The papers are a freebie download from Shabby Princess.  Miss Anya has been coloured with Copics, flowers, ribbon, gems and pins from my stash and yep got me sewing machine out again for this one.

Here's what the inside looks like, the swirly gems are Prima

I am really sorry for being such a dreadful blogging buddy to you all, seems like ages since I last left any comments, so huge apologies to you all, I will try to catch up with everyone as soon as I can.  In the meantime, take care all, happy crafting/blogging, loads of luv xx vicki xx

I thought thisSugar Nellie  image was so appt it only arrived this morning and couldn't wait to get me Copics out.  The papers are MME "Magnolia", Amercian Crafts ribbon, Fancy Pants pin, sorry about the piccie, it looks all washed out, the colours are a bit brighter irl.

And now for some feet painting.......well more like whole body painting.....lol!!!!  Thought I would share a few piccies of my daughters creativity with you all..  The weather was beautiful on Saturday and I've been promising Georgia and Yasmin they can do feet painting for weeks, so what better opportunity that last weekend.  Out came their swimsuits, paints and tons of paper, this is what they got up to

They both went in their lil pool after, you should have seen the colour of the water but it didn't bother my girls one bit.  Took so many photos of them but I could bore you all to bits if I showed you anymore, so I'll leave it at that for now....lol!!!! Thanks for popping by, ttfn xx vicki xx

Stampin for the Weekend - Challenge #15 - Donna's sketch

Hiya guys, how are we all doing this lovely Friday, can you believe another week already over, so that means it's time for another Stamping for the Weekend challenge.  This weeks challenge is a brill sketch by Donna.

This is such a fab sketch for using up all those lil scrap bits of papers that we always hang onto just incase, well my just incase box has now quadrupled, all four boxes are bursting at the seems but I can never throw out any lil bits......just incase.....lol!!!  So thanks for this great lil sketch Donna, at least some of my bits have been used up.....lol!!!  The papers are mainly bits of K & Co, and yes it's another new Greeting Farm image, my addiction to these lil beauties is well and truly outta control.  She's been coloured with Copics and the lil cakes have some glossy accents added for the icing on the top, the lil charm is from The Hobby House.

Our sponsor's for this week are Simon Says Stamp and Heidi is very generously offering the winner a $25 gift voucher,  omg!!! how kind is that, what a fabby prize, thank you so much Heidi for your generosity.

Why not check out the rest of the lovely SFTW DT creations, all brill interpretations of Donna's sketch.  I hope you'll be able to play along this week as we all really enjoy checking out your blogs and wonderful creations.

Oh  before I go, just gotta say how chuffed to bits I was that my card that I made a few posts below..."Bliss" was featured on The Greeting Farm blog.....woooo hooooo!!! can you imagine my delight and surprise when I saw it there....talk about grinning like a Cheshire cat......lol!!!

Anyone for Anya..........

.......or maybe Edward... this is one of the newest members to my Greeting Farm stamp collection,  I couldn't resist making a card with him, he such a cool dude isn't he....lol!!!  This weeks challenge over at Anyone for Anya is to create a card using brads, buttons and bows and this is what I've come up with.

Edward has been coloured with Copics, Cosmo Cricket papers and larger sentiment, HOTP brads, Autumn Leaves "Ticketed" sentiment button and raffia from my stash.

Can I just say a huge thank you for all the fabby awards that have been given to me over the last few days.  I promise I will post them on my blog asap but in the meantime thank you Kimmi, Natalie, Caroline very much for thinking of me to pass them onto, I hope I've not forgotten anyone.  I'm really disorganised since the kids have gone back to school and me back in work, this routine thingy takes quite a bit of getting used to after having six weeks off, I am all over the place so apologies for not visiting anyone, I'll do my best over the next couple of evenings.

Take care all, luv 'n' hugs xx vicki xx

Don't you just love these Dressy Anya's

My Dressy Anya's arrived last week and here's some of the cards I made as soon as they arrived but forgot to upload them.

This first card was entered into last weeks FFF sketch challenge, I've coloured her with Copics and layered her hat and bow.  The papers are K & Co, as is the lil sticker sentiment.  Raffia from Hobby Craft

The second has also been coloured with Copics, the papers are K & Co and MME, American Crafts ribbon, sentiment is Stampin Up.

The papers for the third card are Stampin UP and MME, cuddly buddly sentiment and Miss Anya has been coloured again with Copics.

OK it's taken me a while to sort this post out cos Blogger has changed the format, mind you it does seem a lil easier to sort out your photos but as I'm a complete dimwit I wasn't able to figure out how to type between the photos, so gave up, had a strop and left it like this. Perhaps next time I will upload the photos separately and try it that way.  Does anyone else like this new format or is it just me being a thicko...pmsl

I hope your all enjoying the weekend, I'm off to do a lil bit of crafting...I've got loads of cards to make, some for orders and some for family birthdays....my hubby Stephen will be 40 in three weeks, better get me thinking cap on for that one....oh he is getting some stick from me....40 OMG!!!! I can't believe it...I'm sure he will get his own back on me next year though....yep cos I'll be 40 then....oh eck that don't bare thinking about yet....lol!!!

I wanna be just like.........

..Lisa Hjulberg.

Over at Club Anya it's time for another I wanna be just like....... Just follow the design of the card over at Club Anya and Lisa will pick a winner. You must use an Ian or Anya stamp. I've sought of kept to the design, just twisted it slightly, not sure if that's ok but you sort of can still see Lisa's original design. I've used my new Dressy Anya, which I bought direct from The Greeting Farm, mind you I'm expecting a few more Wild Sprouts, I think I have another new addiction...oh eck.....lol!!! Anyway back to the card, she's been coloured with Copics, added a lil glossy accents to her shoes and bow. The papers are a freebie download from Shabby Princess, it's the Urban Kiwi kit, I'm slowly getting used to my sewing machine now...added two different types of stitches this time, my sewing machine is a Brother ES2020, it's a fab machine with a choice of 40 stitches so maybe next time I'll try using the more decorative stitches.

Thanks for popping by my lil oasis, hope you all have a fab weekend,

Stampin for the Weekend - Challenge #14

Hiya peeps and a Happy Friday to you all. Well firstly wow!!! what an amazing response we had to last weeks Stampin for the Weekend challenge not to mention all the wonderful creations that were entered, cor you guys are so talented.

So on to this weeks SFTW challenge and our sponsors are The Craft Barn, they are very kindly offering a £15.00 spending spree for the lucky winner....

...and all you have to do to win the prize of £15.00 to spend at The Craft Barn is to create a card or project of your choice, as long as it has a stamped image of course, using these three colours below, Orange, Teal and Pink.

Here's my lil card, the papers are K & Co, from that HUGE pad that was a TSV on QVC, so not sure what the design is called, maybe "Berry Sweet", but don't hold me to that.....lol!!! Tilda has been coloured with Distress Inks, the frame that she's sitting in is a Sizzix die and I stamped with Stampin Up "Francais" background stamp, MS butterfly punch (from Tracy at Dies to Die For) the larger butterfly punch is from the Studio catalogue and the swirls are Quickutz die

This week we are lucky enough to have two Guest Designers, they are Carlie (who is only 11) and Lorraine, please check out their blogs to see all those beautiful creations and thank you both for joining us.

It's also an exciting day today at the SFTW home as our lovely new Teamies are joining us for their first challenge, so it would be great if you could pop along and welcome them, they have done a fabby job with their first DT makes, well as have all my other lovely fellow Teamies, just check out their blogs and see their gorgeous creations for yourselves.

Righty-oh, it's Friday, which also means a day off for me and unfortunately a day of the dreaded ironing and housework, two words which we all hate hearing I know and huge apologies for saying them out loud too.....

Hope you all have a lovely weekend, take care and huge crafty hugs to all my luvly blogging buddies xx vicki xx

Boys cards

I was asked to make two birthday cards, an order from the florist who sells my cards. The lady wanted them for her Grandsons who both happened to be 11. Now I don't know about you guys, but I always seem to struggle making cards for orders. When it comes to just playing I'm fine but actually making cards for strangers gets me all in a fluster.

The brief for this first cards was anything to do with either music, horses or swimming. I went for the easy option....The image is a digi download from Pollycraft, which has been coloured with Copics. Computer generated sentiment, the frame around it is a SU stamp. The spotty paper I've had for ages, one of the first paper bundles I ever bought, sorry can't remember who's it by but I probably got it from QVC. Cuttlebug embossing folders. The lil musical notes are the remains from a paper punch.
For the second card the brief was anything sporty, i.e. football, cricket or rugby. I masked the Elzybells footballer image, then stamped the Messy Rabbit net behind, images again coloured with Copics, the lil ball and flag are part of the same Messy Rabbit stamp set. The frame is the negative of a Nestie, cuttlebug embossing folders, computer generated sentiment, the number 11 was originally white so I coloured it with Copics then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.
Thankfully the lady was pleased with these cards, phew ......lol!!!!

Thanks again for visiting my lil oasis, take care all, luv 'n' hugs xx vicki xx

Just Magnolia - Ribbons & Bows

Hiya guys, well today is my last day before I go back to work, goodness knows how I'm gonna get up in the morning after having 6 weeks of fun and lazy days with the kids...lol!!!

Oakey doakey, here's my card/s for this weeks Just Magnolia challenge. The reason for two cards same image is that I've been trying to get along with Sansador....again...not too pleased with the results so nothing new there.

The first card was coloured the easy way with a mix of Derwent Inktense and Karisma Aquarelle pencils paintbrush and water. The papers are BG and MME, hey check out the stitching......I seem to be getting a tad more adventurous with my sewing machine now....lol!!! SU Sentiment and Glimmer Misted flowers.
For this image I coloured using the same pencils as above but tried Sansador and papers stumps....again....me thinks I'm gonna give up now or maybe get some Poly pencils. Papers are Basic Grey "mellow" sentiment is SU.
Righty-Oh, better carry on with the dreaded hous*****...oopsss nearly said it then...you know that word us crafters don't like....lol!!

Enjoy your day and many thanks for popping by,
