my first Miss Anya cards

Yay!!!! As said in the post below, my Miss Anya's arrived on Saturday morning, so couldn't wait to colour them in and here's my first two cards using these beautie girls. Considering that I'm not really keen on the colour blue, I love the Basic Grey 'Granola' papers which I've used for the above card. The sentiment is Stampin Up. The ribbon is courtesy of Michelle, she sent me some gorgeous goodies for my birthday last year. Flowers are a mix of Prima and Flora Doodles, brads are MM. The image has been coloured using Copic markers.
For this card I've used K & Co papers, again the image has been coloured with Copics, sentiment is Rubber Romance, flowers are Prima and Flora Doodles, brads MM and the lovely foliage leaves were kindly given to me as part of a beautiful RAK from my lovely friend Jill.
OK I'm off to have another lil play with my new Gorjuss Girls stamps. Thanks for popping by my lil oasis, take care all luv 'n' hugs xx vicki xx

Happy Birthday Connor

My lovely friend Leigh asked if I could make a birthday card for her son, Connor, who'll be 11 on Tuesday. She wanted a card with both Leeds football team and an I-pod Touch. I didn't think the both on one card would look ok, so I made two. The Leeds card is from Leigh and the I-pod touch is from Connor's lil brother Callum

Needed hubby's help with the card above, he somehow managed to take a photo that we had of the boys and put it into the I-pod Touch.
This card is from myself and the rest of the Cody Crew, I've used a mix of DCWV and Stampin Up papers. The letters for "connor" were just printed out in Word, then cut out (not very good at cutting out, so please don't look to closely....lol!!!).
Yesterday I was well chuffed, not only did the postman deliver my fabby new Gorjuss stamps and Miss Anya stamps, but I had the post beautiful RAK from my lovely blogging buddy, Jilli. Thank you so much Jilli, gosh have you spoilt me, .
I'm hoping to have a lil play with my new stamps tomorrow, fingers crossed.
Take care all, luv 'n' hugs xx vicki xx

a couple of orders

I've been a lil busy making a few cards and boxes for some orders that I've recently had, so thought I'd show you all what I've been up to.
I was asked to make the above card by a work collegue of my hubby. He wanted a Mothers Day card for his wife from their daughter and asked if I could incorporate a photo of her as she always tells her Mummy that "I love your this much Mummy" with her arms wide open......aawww bless....isn't she so cute.

I was also asked to make a personalised wedding card and box which had to be pink and sparkly. So I set about making the card, half way through the lady rang me back to say, don't worry about making the card now, that she had bought one whilst out shopping....grrrrr...so I continued to make the card and have put it in my local florist, who kindly sells some of my cards for me.

This is an order is received via the florist, asking if I could make just an A5 personalised baby boy card. So I went that bit further, as I was already making tri-fold cards and boxes at the time I thought it would be nice for them to receive something a lil different. I was pleased to hear that they were very happy with this card.
Thanks for popping by and visiting my lil oasis, luv 'n' hugs

a last minute card

It was gone midnight on Saturday when I remembered Georgia & Yasmin had a party to go to yesterday afternoon. So this card was made in a slap dash fashion in the early hours of Sunday morning. I quickly coloured the Magnolia image with lots of different Copics, grabbed some backing paper, Retro Florals, I think. A bit of ribbon and a cuddly buddly sentiment...hey presto job done.....lol!!!

Baby, Baby

These ever so cute Magnolia stamps just so happened to jump in my basket as I was looking through Sir Stampalot's website a few days ago......oooppppsss....how did that happen....lol!! So when they arrived yesterday I couldn't resist having a lil play and this is what I came up with. Tried different mediums of colouring the main image. The 'lil girl' card has been coloured with quite a few different Copic markers and the lil boy card has been coloured with my new Stampin Up inkpads, they're really fabby to use.
Right, I'd better get a shifty on and cook dinner, shall be back soon with some more cards I've recently made. Hope you all enjoy the weekend and this gorgeous weather we're having.

been playing with my new SU goodies

Just thought I'd show a few cards I've made using some of my new SU goodies that I've recently received via that fabby hostess Julie. The card above is for my mil. Eventhough it took quite a while to double stamp the flowers and leaves, then cut them out, I really did enjoy making it. The inkpads I used were apricot appeal and pumpkin pie for the roses, certainly celery and old olive for the leaves, finished off with glamour dust which doesn't really show up too good on this photo.
This card was inspired by Jules, after seeing one similar on her blog, hope you don't mind Jules. I made it for our neighbour who's birthday was last weekend.

This card seems quite bare in comparison to the other rosey one above. It's for no-one in particular, it's the first card I made with the "A Rose is A Rose" stamp set, so it was a practise run, so to speak.

I really do like this stamp called French Flair, it's huge. I've used Sage Shadow cardstock and inpad. Kept the card quite simple as it's a sympathy card for hubby's uncle, who's best friend sadle past away last week after a long battle with MS and cancer.
I've had quite a productive week this week, well cardwise anyway. I'll be back soon to show some of the other cards I've made. Take care all, thanks for popping by xx vicki xx
