Stampin for the Weekend - challenge #8 "Masking"
Hiya guys, hope your all enjoying the Summer Hols so far, I've had a disaster of a start over at my Paperlicious Oasis but that's another story, all I'll say is squirrels, loft and leaky ceilings.
So onto week 8 of our challenges over at Stampin for the Weekend and our sponsor this week is Windrush Cards & Crafts, who are very kindly offering a House Mouse stamp called "Exciting Celebration" for the lucky winner

Our challenge for this week is entitled "Masking" and we would love to see two or more stamped images on your card or project of your choice.
We have a new guest designer, Suzie will be joining us for the next two weeks, so why not pop over and check our her wonderful designs.
Here is my card for this weeks challenge. I have used three Magnolia stamps for my masking technique, the images have been coloured with distress inks. The papers are MME "bloom & grow", the sentiment and oval shapes are SU and the butterfly is from my new Spellbinders die, I'm still trying to get used to using it in my Big Shot and not really getting the results I want, so I shall have to play around a little more. You may just notice a sneaky peak at the MS Flourish punch on the left hand side of the image, it arrived on the weekend and although I really love it, I think I may be doing something wrong as it doesn't punch as good as I was expecting it too.....
My fabby teamies have come up with some stonking creations again this week, please pop over and check out their blogs to see for yourself. I hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend, looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Thanks for popping by my lil oasis and for all the lovely comments, for which, as always I am so grateful for. Enjoy your weekend, take care, luv 'n' hugs xx vicki xx

Stampin' for the Weekend challenge #7
Hiya folks and a happy Friday to you all. Today is week 7 over at Stampin' For The Weekends challenge blog, can you believe how quick these weeks are flying by. Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said and Tracey is very kindly donated a $25 gift voucher for the lucky winner to spend.
Our theme this week is "70's Rock and Roll"
There are three song titles you can choose from,
Three Times a Lady - The Commodores
Tangled up in Blue - Bob Dylan
For both cards I have used DCWV papers. Miss Anya has been coloured with Copics. The lil "Box in a Bag" is so easy to make, I followed a step by step tutorial from Split Coast Stampers, inside the lil bags houses a cute lil cuddly toy that Yasmin choose for both her teachers.
The rest of my lovely teamies over at SFTW have come up with some fab creations, just have a lil nosey at their blogs to see for yourselves, it's great to see everyone's different interpretations of the song titles this week and hopefully you will be able to play along too.
I have now, well as of yesterday, officially finished work for the holidays, 6 lovely weeks off....yay!!!! that's is one of THE best things about working in a school. So hopefully, daughters permitting, should have more time to craft and visit all my lovely blogging buddies, as I feel I have really neglected you all lately, so huge apologies once again.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and enjoy the summer hols, my children break up school today....ooooo just realised I may have 6 weeks off......but so do they.....lots of kids entertaining to do then...lol!!!! xx vicki xx

Tangled up in Blue - Bob Dylan
Seasons in the Sun - Terry Jacks
So with it being the end of term, I decided to go with the "Seasons in the Sun" theme as I wanted to make cards for my youngest daughters teachers and these are what I came up with.

Birthday Wishes
Hello folks, hope your all keeping well. I am so disorganized lately, can't seem to keep on top of most things, roll on the summer hols...yay!!! I clean forgot about the teacher who I work with, it was her birthday on Monday, thank goodness she has been on a course today, at least I had chance to quickly whip up this card to give to her tomorrow, may have just gotten away with the fact that I'd forgotten.....lol!!!
I've used mainly SU products for this card, which I always purchase from the very "luvly" Jules. Miss Anya has been coloured with SU inkpads, the papers are SU, as is the ribbon, sentiment and oval punched shapes, a lil diamonte ribbon buckle for a lil bit of sparkly bling.

SFTW - Challenge #6 "Strawberries dipped in chocolate"
Hiya folks, hope your all keeping well. The weekend is almost here, again, and just one more week left and all the kids are off for 6 weeks, oh I can hardly contain my excitement.....not....lol!!!
So it's Friday and that means another new challenge over at SFTW, but firstly what a wonderful response we had to our "Double or Nothing" challenge, thank you for all those beautiful entries.
Our sponsor for this weeks challenge is Simon Says Stamp who are donating $25, one lucky winner is going to be very happy, me thinks.
We have a rather yummy title for this weeks challenge..."Strawberries Dipped in Chocolate"..mmm delish. In other words we have a colour combination for you to use Red and Brown on your creations. Below is a picture which my lovely fellow DT member Nicola has kindly said we could use for inspiration, thanks Nicola.
Here is what I came up with. I received this Sugar Nellie stamp a few weeks ago, I spent ages debating if I liked this range by Leanne Ellis or not, this one is my favourite. I've been having a lil play, firstly I coloured the image with distress inks, then spritzed the image all over with Glimmer Mist (irridescent gold), once dried, I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder and was quite pleased with the effect. The papers are MME "magnolia", sentiment is SU, Prima flowers, brads, spacers, pins and tulle from my stash.
I used the same technique for this card regarding the image. Papers again MME "Magnolia" no matter how many photos I have taken of this card, the papers look pink but in real life they are true red, so I do apologise for the photo. SU sentiment. The flowers have been given the Glimmer Mist (irridescent gold) treatment too. The lace, from my local haberdashery store has been attached with staplers.

Some beautie cards my fellow DT members at SFTW have produced again this week, why not check them out. Hopefully you too will be able to join in with this weeks challenge over at SFTW, you could win the fab prize of $25, donated by Simon Says Stamp, well you never know.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend, whatever you have planned.
luv'n' hugs and many thanks for visiting my lil oasis and for all the treasured comments you kindly take the time to leave....mwah
